Child Development - Developing Capable Youth, Certificate of Career Preparation

This certificate demonstrates successful completion of two courses (3 units, total) focusing on parenting, education, and communication skills to use in guiding children and youth as they develop into capable individuals. This certificate, when combined with an additional 3 units in School-Age Child Development, will help meet the course requirements for the Child Development Permit Matrix: Master Teacher Specialization Units in School Age Child Care. All required courses for this certificate must be completed with a grade of “C” or better.
