Certified Nursing Assistant, Certificate of Career Preparation

The Certified Nursing Assistant program prepares the student to obtain an entry level position in nursing. The program consists of didactic and clinical training. At the conclusion of the course, and successful completion with letter “C” or better, the student will qualify to take the state exam to test for competency. Successful passage of the exam will grant the candidate a certificate of Nursing Assisting provided by the California Department of  Health.

Program Outcomes

1. Demonstrated compliance with the established federal and state standards of practice for the nursing assistant, measured by successful completion of the California written and skill certification exam.
2. Demonstrated ethical behaviors of a nursing assistant.
