The Criminal Justice program is designed to provide students with the basic theoretical knowledge that will prepare them for a career in law enforcement or corrections. The program develops a high level of academic, personal, and professional competence demanded in a wide range of agencies. The following is required for all AA-T or AS-T degrees: Completion of 60 CSU-transferable semester units. Minimum grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 in all CSU-transferable coursework. While a minimum of 2.0 is required for admission, some majors may require a higher GPA. Please consult with a counselor for more information. Completion of a minimum of 18 semester units in an “AA-T” or “AS-T” major. All courses in the major must be completed with a grade of C or better (title 5 § 55063). Certified completion of the CalGETC General Education Pattern. NOTE: Should the student fall below the 60 units between the major unit requirements and the CalGETC pattern, the deficit units shall be comprised of transferrable elective units.
