NBE 021 - Theatre Rehearsal and Performance For Older Adults

Description: Theatre Rehearsal and Performance provides an introductory level of instruction to older students with little or no experience in the performing arts. Students will audition for, rehearse, and perform in a college production. The course intends to assist older adults in identifying and examining personal interest and aptitudes in theatre to enhance mental acuity and creativity, as well as appreciation of the arts. Create a character in a specific genre of theatrical production (musical, classical, modern, contemporary, children”s, or experimental theatre) from script to performance.

Demonstrate an understanding of collaborative responsibilities by cooperating with and supporting the work of the production ensemble.
