FST 248 - Company Officer 2D: All- Risk Command Operations

Prerequisite: FST 224 or equivalent as approved by the Vice President of Instruction and Student Services.
Description: This course provides information on conducting incident size-up, developing and implementing an initial plan of action involving single and multi-unit operations for various types of emergency incidents to mitigate the situation following agency safety procedures, conducting pre-incident planning, and develop and conduct a post-incident analysis.

Demonstrate skill in applying concepts of command safety and the risk management process, pre-incident planning considerations, and command considerations at incidents.
Demonstrate skill in applying Company Officer initial actions at an incident including the development of incident priorities, strategy, tactics, and information on the roles and responsibilities of a Company Officer for post-incident actions.
