ADS 151 - Practicum for Alcohol and Drug Studies II Credits: 3
Prerequisite: ADS 150 Description: This course is the second part of a supervised fieldwork practicum that actively involves students at a supervised chemical dependency service site. Students apply and integrate the values, knowledge, and skills learned in the classroom through direct, hands-on experience in the area of alcohol and drug counseling. Special attention is given to individual, group, and family counseling.

Student Learning Outcomes:
- Apply knowledge gained in ADS coursework in a therapeutic setting.
- Evaluate the application of the 12 core functions of an alcohol and drug counselor.
- Achieve six measurable, personal goals based on the 12 core functions.
